On artificial intelligence in education
A few thoughts on the role of AI in transforming educational practices.
AI has probably only highlighted the limits of the current scholar system, based on tests, grades, and knowledge.
If we think that teaching and studying are aimed at passing a test or getting a high grade, then AI has probably already won. But AI, like all technologies, should serve to expand one's knowledge and go further, not to write an essay, maybe on Rodari, or to solve a mathematical problem without understanding the reasoning behind it or learning anything new.
*Some thoughts I had after listening to the radio 📻 and other podcasts such as Keep Up , Keep Up # 5 - Three AI Myths, which is a good one
